Main objectives of the training

 

Understanding how social networks work, taking into account the specificities of scientific activity.

Developing one’s personal networks based on one’s scientific focus and the amount of time that can be dedicated to them.

Strengthening individual skills for key network-building moments.

Please note: this training course is not devoted to the use of social networks (Facebook, etc.); it does not use IT tools; it was designed by a think tank comprised of sociologists, consultants, public researchers from different disciplines, and managers from Safran and Sanofi R&D.

  • Case studies of scientific networks
  • The scientific network: types of actors, relationships, issues, and risks
  • Forms and performance of individual scientific networks
  • Personal scientific networks/the networks of one’s laboratory/one’s manager’s networks
  • Each participant performs a diagnosis of their scientific networks
  • Challenging one’s perception of one’s social networks
  • Integrating scientific and career dynamics
  • Scientific social networks, cooperation and competition
  • Targets and improvement plans (hotline follow-up for the inter-company sessions)
